Take a scenic drive north of Auckland city to Matakana with a local guide. Matakana is home to a wide array of NZ artists, artisans and winemakers and a favourite weekend getaway for Aucklanders who love the laidback lifestyle. 

Our first stop is Brick Bay, a sculpture trail and boutique winery set in an idyllic spot near the ocean. 

The local owners of this lovely property have worked closely with well-known NZ sculptors to create one of the most beautiful sculpture parks in the country. Set against a backdrop of native forest and vineyard, it’s a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. After a guided walk of the sculpture trail, we’ll enjoy a leisurely wine tasting overlooking the vines. 
From Brick Bay, we’ll travel to a nearby winery restaurant for a relaxing 2-course lunch served with locally produced beverages. Choose from wine, craft beer or non-alcoholic options. Mid-afternoon, we’ll head back to Auckland city where the tour will end at your chosen central hotel*.

*for anyone choosing accommodation not included in the main programme, drop-off point will be Aotea Centre or the main hotel.
