General Questions

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

The dress for all conference sessions and social functions is smart casual.


WILL MY DETAILS BE SHARED?

If you do not wish your details to be provided to sponsors or other delegates, please tick the appropriate box on the registration form.


HOW CAN I GET AROUND WELLINGTON?

Getting around Wellington is easy, and most facilities are within walking or cycling distance of the central city. Wellington’s Metro service runs bus routes around the city. More information can be found here.

WHEN WILL I GET MY NAME BADGE?

Name badges will be given to all delegates on registration. We ask that you always wear your badge, including when attending social functions.


WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS?

We encourage persons with disabilities to participate in the programme and social events. Please contact asum@theconferencecompany.com to request services or other accommodations for any special needs or note these on your registration form. If you have dietary preferences, please describe those on the space provided on the registration form when you register.

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION FEES?

The fees are available to view on the registration page.


DO ASUM MEMBERS HAVE ACCESS TO DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION?

Yes. ASUM members receive discounted rates. View the registration page for more detail. If you would like to know more about becoming a member, visit the ASUM website.


MY PARTNER WOULD LIKE TO COME, BUT NOT TO THE CONFERENCE SESSIONS. IS THERE A PARTNER REGISTRATION?

No, there is no partner registration. You are, however, able to purchase a ticket for them to attend the Welcome Drinks and/or Conference Dinner.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE STUDENT REGISTRATION RATE?

Yes. Discounted rates are available to encourage attendance for students. You must be a full-time student, enrolled in a tertiary institution at the time of registration. You will need to provide proof of enrolment.


I WANT TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION. CAN I GET A REFUND?

All cancellations must be received in writing, so please email asum@theconferencecompany.com.  Any cancellation notice received prior to 11 August 2025 will be eligible for a refund, less a NZD150 administration fee. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable, however, you are able to transfer your registration to another person.


Conference Photography & Videography

There will be photographs and videos taken throughout the conference and at the social events. These may be used for promotional activities, including the ASUM website, promotional news or documentation and on social media. If you do not want your photograph or video taken, or used, please notify the photographer or videographer onsite at your earliest convenience.

Travel Insurance

Delegates are strongly recommended to take out a suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non-refundable registration fees when you register for the meeting and book your travel.
