FAQs

Who is the Sport NZ Women + Girls Summit for?

  • If you currently work as a health professional, manager, leader, administrator, coach, facilitator or coordinator delivering programmes for women and girls – the Summit is for you!

  • If you are student (high school, university or recent graduate) with an interest in creating equal opportunities for women in girls in the play, active recreation and sport sector then you’ve come to the right place!

We encourage you to register and if you can, get along to a physical event too. These will provide networking opportunities, collaboration and a programme tailored to your region.

What is the focus of the programme?

This year, the programme is focussed around the experiences of young women aged 16-30. The content has been co-designed in partnership with a team of volunteers including young women (16-30yrs old) from right across the play, active recreation and sport sector in Aotearoa.

How do I attend a virtual workshop?

You must register your attendance to the virtual workshops prior to the event.

When you register for the Summit, you will be asked to select the workshop(s) you want to attend. If you did not select a workshop during your registration or have changed your mind and now want to attend, please contact wgs@theconferencecompany.com for assistance by Sunday 26 September, 5pm.

Where are the satellite events happening?

A Satellite event is free to attend however you will not get the benefit of accessing the virtual platform during and after the event. The upside of attending a Satellite event is the opportunity to connect and network with people in your community.

COVID-19 Alert Level restrictions does mean that we do need to ensure the size of these gatherings are appropriate and safe for anyone interested in attending. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to connect with our Satellite Hosts early to secure your place.
