Executive Director, Greenpeace Aotearoa
Dr Russel Norman is the Executive Director of Greenpeace Aotearoa, a role he has held since 2015. Prior to that he was an MP and Co-Leader of the Green Party of Aotearoa for nine years, where he held the economics and environment portfolios. He has been a campaigner on a wide range of social and environmental issues over several decades in Aotearoa and Australia. He has worked in many different areas - sheetmetal, car assembly, organic vineyard, bush regeneration, public policy, service industry and more. He has a PhD from Macquarie University in politics. He lives in Tāmaki Makaurau with his partner and three kids.
