Transport

Auckland’s public transport is a great way to get around. It’s easy to travel by train, bus or ferry throughout the inner city and the wider region, with regular routes to most major attractions and our main shopping, dining, and entertainment precincts.

Britomart, in downtown Auckland, is the main transport hub and is where many bus and train journeys start and finish. Ferries also arrive and depart from downtown Auckland, just two minutes’ walk from Britomart. Several bus and train stations and some ferry departure points also have park and ride facilities – ideal if you’ve got a hire car or you’re staying longer.

The Auckland Airport is situated 26kms, a 25-minute drive, from the central business district and major hotels.

A taxi ride from the Airport to the City will cost approximately $45-$65. Prices vary by Taxi Company.

Supershuttle offer airport transfer services and travel between Auckland CBD and the airport on request, daily. Fares are approximately at $40.00 per person one way. For more information see supershuttle.co.nz or call 0800 SHUTTLE to book.
