After beginning her working life at a corporate bank in New York, Bronwen has spent more than two decades working in the international conservation sector. Through a career with WWF International, Pew Charitable Trusts and the World Economic Forum, Bronwen has been involved in the design and implementation of a global portfolio of large scale conservation programmes around the world, working with indigenous communities, governments, multilateral agencies, and the private sector. Over the past 15 yrs Bronwen's work has been focused on the marine environment and its protection, management and governance in the context of CBD and SDG ocean goals. Today Bronwen is a Fellow at the Stanford Centre for Ocean Solutions, leading a multi-year project focused on combating IUU fishing across the APEC region. Concurrently Bronwen is the Lead for the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition Global Seamounts campaign, working in the context of UNGA Sustainable Fisheries Resolutions to secure the protection of vulnerable marine ecosystems. Bronwen also advises ocean-focused NGOs and international sporting platforms advocating for ocean action. She holds a BA in English and History and a Masters in International Politics.
