Karen Booth has worked as an RN and manager in general practice since 1998. Areas of expertise include prevention, immunisation, infection control, diabetes, chronic disease care coordination, data management, accreditation, setup of systems in general practices, including health check and chronic disease management clinics in general practice, supporting a team approach to care. Karen is skilled in health policy, workforce development and advocating for the role of nurses in primary health care. Karen has over a decade’s experience advising on national health reform and health workforce, including the MBS Review, National 10 Year Primary Health Care Plan and the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce. Karen is a board member of the Australian Self Care Alliance, and member of APNA, ACPIC, AICD.
