Dr Dhupelia is the Medical and Clinical Director of Queensland Rural Medical Service within Darling Downs Health and responsible for the oversight of the Queensland Rural Generalist Pathway. Dr Dhupelia also works as a part time GP in Brisbane. Trained in Dublin, Ireland, Dr Dhupelia migrated to Queensland and practised in Millmerran (1978-1982) and Toowoomba (1982-2006) as a Rural Generalist GP and Obstetrician. From 2006 to 2010 Dr Dhupelia was the Senior Medical Advisor for Medicare Australia within the Commonwealth Department of Health. Dr Dhupelia was AMA Queensland State President from 2018-2020. Dr Dhupelia is currently the Chair of the AMA Queensland Foundation and a Director of the Brisbane South Primary Health Network.
