Bev Rowbotham is a medical specialist and non-executive Director with a broad governance experience in healthcare, commerce, government and the non-profit sector and specialty expertise in risk management. Her leadership in healthcare is widely recognised and in 2019 she was awarded an honour in the Australia Day awards: Officer (AO) in the General Division “For distinguished service to medicine through roles with professional associations, to pathology, and to medical education.” She has recently retired from chairing Avant Mutual Group where she was a Director for 14 years. She continues to chair the Avant Foundation, the Federal Government’s National Pathology Accreditation Council, and is a non executive director of Bolton Clarke, Australia’s largest independent aged care company.
