Appointed/Voting Delegates
What is an appointed/voting delegate?
Appointed/Voting delegates are:
- Members of the Federal Council at the time of the National Conference;
- Delegates appointed by the State and Territory AMAs
- Delegates appointed by the Practice Groups
What is a conference attendee?
Conference attendees are AMA members and non-members who have registered to attend the AMA24. Conference attendees can attend the Voting Delegate’s session and federal presidential election on Sunday 4 August as observers but are not entitled to vote.
What is the role of appointed/voting delegate at AMA24
Voting delegates are entitled to attend and vote for:
- election of the President and Vice President of the Association
- policy motions that will feed back to Federal Council
What are other entitlements for appointed/voting delegates at AMA24?
- Voting delegates are each entitled to receive one complimentary guest ticket to the Gala Dinner (in addition to their own ticket which is included in conference registration).
What are the travel and accommodation arrangements for voting delegates?
- Voting delegates who have chosen to attend in person are required to pay for AMA24 registration, and organise their own travel and accommodation. Accommodation can be booked via https://tcc.eventsair.com/ama24/accommmodation
- AMA Federal council members have received a separate email with regards to travel arrangements, however are still required to register for AMA24 via https://tcc.eventsair.com/ama24/registration-ama24
I am a voting delegate, what if I cannot attend in person?
If you are a voting delegate and unable to attend in person, a Zoom webinar link with limited interaction will be made available to ensure you stay informed and can participate in voting. Please contact the AMA24 team if you are unable to attend in person.

What is included in my registration fee?

GST is claimable if you are registered for GST with an ABN number
We will secure a number of accommodation options available to Conference attendees, you will be able to book accommodation at delegate rates via the registration form.
If you are unable to register prior to the AMA24 Conference, you can register onsite at the Registration Desk. Please note, payment will be required at this time via a credit card or cash (in Australian currency only).
All cancellations must be received in writing so please email ama@theconferencecompany.com. Cancellation notice received prior to 3 June 2024 will be eligible for a refund, less a AU$150 administration fee. Cancellations made between 3 June 2024 and 3 July 2024 will receive a 50% refund less a cancellation fee of $150. Cancellations made after 3 July 2024 will not be eligible for any refunds., however you are able to transfer your registration to another person.
Upon full payment of the Meeting registration fees, you request an invitation letter by emailing ama@theconferencecompany.com. Invitation letters will not be supplied to unpaid or unregistered participants, and we reserve the right to refuse to provide invitation letters for attendees. Please note that we do not give any further support or advice about the visa application process. Obtaining a visa remains the sole responsibility of the participant.
Dress for all sessions is smart casual. Dress for the Gala Dinner is black tie.
Delegate bag
There will be no physical delegate bags at the AMA24 Conference. This is to reduce environmental impact by minimising single-use plastic waste. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags. An email will be sent to all attendees' post conference with information that would have been provided in a physical delegate bag.
AMA24 is accredited for 10 hours of CPD with ACRRM. 5.5 hours educational activities (category 1) and 4.5 hours performance review (category 2). Non-ACRRM practitioners can self-submit their CPD hours to their CPD home using the breakdown of the above CPD hours. It is recommended you submit a copy of the conference program too.
