Registration Terms and Conditions

  • Full payment for registration fees must be received prior to the IPSANZ Annual Conference 2026.
  • All prices are quoted in Australian dollars.
  • Payment can be made online via credit card at the time of registration. An invoice showing the total fee will be sent to you automatically after payment.
  • Earlybird deadline is Friday 10 July 2026.
  • The Australian Privacy Act 1988 provides that, before your name and contact details can be published in a list of participants you must give your consent.  If you select ‘Yes, I do want my details to be included in the list of participants’ on the registration form or by email, your details may be distributed to:
    • Conference delegates, sponsors and exhibitors (note that if consent is given to have your details included in the List of Participants, it is likely that sponsors may add you to their mailing lists and send promotional emails to you)
    • Organisers of future IPSANZ events.
  • By registering for the IPSANZ Annual Conference 2026, you are confirming consent for any video and photographs of you, to be taken at the event or to be used by IPSANZ in the promotion of the annual conference unless you opt out of this on the registration form.
  • By registering for the conference, you are consenting for your data to be used as per the “Data Consent Policy”. If you decide against your data being used, your registration will be cancelled less the cancellation fee below.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancelling a conference registration with a full refund: cancellation must be received in writing by 11:59pm AEST on Thursday 16 July 2026.
    • For cancellations of conference registrations from Friday 17 July 2026 onwards, no refund will be provided.  A registration can be transferred to a substitute delegate at no additional cost, provided the Secretariat is advised in writing in advance.

Information Presented at the Conference

The information presented at the Conference is solely intended for The Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc.
You understand and agree that you are being provided with the information for educational and informational purposes only. You understand and agree that whilst the content is accessible worldwide, some content may be applicable to particular regions only, such as Australia and New Zealand. 
Although IPSANZ strives to present only current and accurate information at its conference, you agree not to solely rely on this information or consider it to be any form of professional advice without additional independent review of its accuracy, completeness, efficacy, and timeliness. Any decisions as to how you use this information is in your sole discretion and IPSANZ will not be liable for any issues that may arise from such use.  

Participant Conduct

You will conduct yourself in a professional manner that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. You will treat all participants with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at the conference.

Legal Claim 

This agreement is subject to the law of Australia. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party, Australia shall be the sole court of jurisdiction. 

Program

IPSANZ reserves the right to modify the program, which is published as an indication only. 

Virtual Content Access

If virtual access is applicable, you understand and agree that you are accessing the conference virtual site for your own education and will not provide your log in details to another party or facilitate multiple people to view the meeting content via your device(s).

 

Accommodation Terms and Conditions (if applicable)

Hyatt Regency

  • Accommodation can be booked at our discounted rate until 11:59pm AEST on Monday 20 July 2026. 
  • Accommodation bookings made on or after Tuesday 21 July 2026 will be based on availability, and at The Hyatt's prevailing rates.
  • Cancelling an accommodation booking with a full refund: cancellation must be received in writing by 11:59pm AEST on Monday 6 July 2026. 
  • Accommodation cancellations made on or after Tuesday 7 July 2026 will incur a fee equal to the full accommodation charge. 
  • Payment Terms: 100% Deposit Taken 45 Days prior to arrival.
