Biography

Dr. V. Mohan is Chairman, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre and Madras Diabetes Research Foundation at Chennai in South India. He oversees a chain of 51 diabetes centres across 8 states of India and has over 700,000 registered persons with diabetes across his centres. His main research interests are epidemiology of diabetes and its complications, monogenic diabetes, type 1 diabetes, fibrocalculous pancreatic diabetes, precision diabetes and nutrition in diabetes. Dr. Mohan has published 1875 papers which includes 1220 original articles. His research has attracted over 252,000 citations and has a ‘h index’ of 175. Dr. Mohan has trained a large number of physicians & diabetologists in addition to nurses and educators. He has received several awards for his research.

Biography

Prof. Dr. Shashank R. Joshi is a consultant endocrinologist at Joshi Clinic, Lilavati and Sir HN Reliance Foundation hospitals in Mumbai. A Padma Shri awardee ranked in the top 0.5% of authors globally in General & Internal Medicine, he has over 1,000 publications and 100 book chapters. He has led numerous national and international medical bodies, including IDF Southeast Asia, AACE Asia Pacific, the Endocrine Society of India, the Association of Physicians of India (API) and RSSDI, among others. He is also a recipient of the International Clinician of the Year Award from the American College of Endocrinology.

Dr Amit Kumar Dey is a physician, diabetologist, and clinician leader in artificial intelligence in healthcare. He is the Founder-Chair of DoctorsAI Education & Research Foundation, Founder of the Indian College of AI in Medicine, and Chair of the International Diabetes Federation Technology & AI Working Group. His work focuses on responsible AI, clinical education, policy, and implementation in diabetes care. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and actively leads national and global capacity-building initiatives.
