Prof. Abdul Basit is Director of the Indus Diabetes and Endocrinology Center (IDEC), Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), Secretary General of the Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP), and President of the Diabetes in Asia Study Group (DASG). An internationally recognized diabetologist, he has made significant contributions to diabetes prevention, epidemiology, diabetic foot care, and health systems strengthening. He has authored over 300 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has played a leading role in advancing diabetes research, education, and policy in Pakistan and across Asia.
