Prof. Stephen Twigg, MBBS(Hons-I), PhD(Syd), FRACP, is Head, Dept of Endocrinology, RPA Hospital, plus Kellion Professor of Endocrinology, Stan Clark Chair in Diabetes, and Head of Central Clinical School in Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney. As a physician-scientist and clinical triallist his research program since 1995, is dedicated to preventing and managing end-organ complications in diabetes, including foot disease in diabetes through the RPAH interdisciplinary Diabetes High Risk Foot Service, in dysmetabolic steatohepatitis (MASH) in diabetes (leading the inaugural ADS Living guideline), and in long duration type 1 diabetes (collaborating with DA. He is a past ADS Kellion Award recipient and a past President of the ADS.

Fran Game has been a consultant Diabetologist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust since 2011. She is the Clinical Director of R&D and the Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit, and Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham. Her main clinical and research interest is the Diabetic Foot, leading a number of multicentre/multinational trials in this field. She chaired both the Classification and Wound Healing subgroups of the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot for the 2023 global guidelines, and has been the Chair of the Editorial Board of this organisation since January 2024. She is the current Clinical Lead for the National Diabetes Footcare Audit of England and Wales and has been one of the NHS England Co-Clinical Regional Directors for Diabetes (Midlands), since May 2018. She was awarded the Edward James Olmos Award for Amputation Prevention by the American Limb Preservation Society in 2021 and the Roger W. Pecoraro award by the American Diabetes Association 2024. She received the 2025 MedStar Georgetown Distinguished Achievement Award in Diabetic Limb Salvage at the Diabetic Limb Salvage conference, Washington DC in April 2025.

Associate Professor Brendon Neuen is a Nephrologist, Director of Kidney Trials, Royal North Shore Hospital and Program Lead, Renal and Metabolic Division at The George Institute for Global Health. He completed training in nephrology and clinical trials in Sydney, Oxford, and Boston. He serves on the steering committees of multiple international trials evaluating new therapeutic strategies to reduce cardio-renal risk and co-chairs the SGLT2 Meta-Analysis Cardio-Renal Trialists' Consortium, pooling data from over 90,000 participants from large-scale randomized trials. His work has been cited more than 30 international guidelines and scientific statements.
