Ange Liston McCaughley is a co-founder and CEO of the Type 1 Foundation. Inspired by her daughter living with type 1 diabetes, Ange champions awareness, community connection, and support for those affected. Ange’s work amplifies lived experience and drives initiatives that enhance wellbeing, inclusion, and understanding for the diabetes community.

Leon Tribe is a passionate diabetes advocate and active researcher in diabetes technologies and management. His online writing focusses on providing clear explanations to people with diabetes on the disease, the latest research and innovations, and its management. His advocacy and passion have been recognised by his acceptance into both the Diabetes Australia Community Advisory Council, and the Australasian Type 1 Diabetes Immunotherapy Collaborative (ATIC) Community Engagement Panel. Leon has been published in The Lancet and Diabetes Management Journal, and regularly presents at international diabetes conferences, such as ATTD.

Rui Pang is a PhD student in Nursing at Zhejiang University and affiliated with Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, China. Her research focuses on chronic disease management, digital ethics, and information-based nursing interventions to support self-management and care delivery. At this congress, she will present a poster titled “Constructing User Personas of Family Caregivers of Older Adults with Diabetes: A Descriptive Qualitative Study.”
