Professor Mette Juel Rothmann is Program Leader for Diabetes Care and User and Public Involvement at Steno Diabetes Center Odense and Senior Researcher at CIMT at Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark. A Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than 20 years of experience in diabetes and endocrinology, her research focuses on empowering people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes through digital health solutions and evidence-based interventions. She uses participatory design to engage patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals in co-creating services and technologies and serves as Principal Investigator on multiple major studies.

Israel is a PhD candidate at Deakin University, focusing on developing a care model to enhance self-management and social support for individuals with type 2 diabetes, grounded in experiences and perspectives. He has also published several articles in the field, offering valuable insights into diabetes care.

Alison is an Associate Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes. She has supported the MRFF-funded HypoPAST study, an online psycho-educational program to reduce fear of hypoglycaemia among adults with type 1 diabetes. Alison also brings lived experience of diabetes, having lived with T1D since 2011.

Kitty is a Principal Medical Social Worker at Woodlands Hospital, Singapore, with a Bachelor's in Social Work (National University of Singapore, 2008) and Master's in Behavioural Health (University of Hong Kong, 2014). Since 2010, she specialises in diabetes care, integrating social health into chronic disease management and behavioural health training.

She is a Senior Nurse in the Endocrinology Department at Peking University People's Hospital, a Certified Specialist Nurse by the Chinese Nursing Association, and also serves as a Weight Loss Case Manager. She has published four papers as the first author and led three research projects.
