Dr Emma Hamilton is an Endocrinologist who is passionate about improving outcomes for people living with diabetes, through advocacy, clinical service improvement, research and innovation. Her areas of special interest are optimising access to interdisciplinary care for people living with diabetes, prevention of diabetes complications, diabetes-related foot disease, inpatient management of diabetes and access to diabetes technology. She is a member of the council of the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS), chair of Diabetes Feet Australia, member of the ADS Advocacy and Advisory working group, member of the ADS Inpatient Diabetes working group and the Australian Diabetes Clinical Trial Network executive group. She is active in clinical research, with a particular focus on diabetes complications and diabetes-related foot disease and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. Emma has also led WA (Diabetes Health Network), national (Diabetes Feet Australia) and contributed to international (International Working Group of the Diabetic Foot) clinical guidelines for management of diabetes-related foot complications.

Fran Game has been a consultant Diabetologist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust since 2011. She is the Clinical Director of R&D and the Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit, and Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham. Her main clinical and research interest is the Diabetic Foot, leading a number of multicentre/multinational trials in this field. She chaired both the Classification and Wound Healing subgroups of the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot for the 2023 global guidelines, and has been the Chair of the Editorial Board of this organisation since January 2024. She is the current Clinical Lead for the National Diabetes Footcare Audit of England and Wales and has been one of the NHS England Co-Clinical Regional Directors for Diabetes (Midlands), since May 2018. She was awarded the Edward James Olmos Award for Amputation Prevention by the American Limb Preservation Society in 2021 and the Roger W. Pecoraro award by the American Diabetes Association 2024. She received the 2025 MedStar Georgetown Distinguished Achievement Award in Diabetic Limb Salvage at the Diabetic Limb Salvage conference, Washington DC in April 2025.

Pete Lazzarini is a podiatrist and Associate Professor of Diabetes Foot Disease at Queensland University of Technology and The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. He holds an Australian NHMRC Investigator Fellowship, and his research focuses on quantifying disease burdens, identifying key risk factors and developing novel treatments for people with diabetes foot disease. Pete has authored over 130 peer-reviewed research papers in the field, is Chair of the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot Offloading Guidelines, Past Chair of the Australian Diabetic Foot Guidelines and Founding Chair Diabetes Feet Australia. He has also received numerous awards including the 2023 International Symposium on the Diabetic Foot’s Top Rising Star and Top Study Awards.

Dr Vivienne Chuter is a Professor of Podiatry at the Western Sydney University and a Senior Research Fellow in the Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity Unit at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute. She leads a clinically-based research program focussing on prevention and management of diabetes-related foot disease in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and in non-Indigenous Australians.
