Samantha Oxenham, APD, CDE is the Manager, Clinical Science Liaison at Dexcom Australia, where she leads the Clinical team driving health care professional clinical education initiatives across Australia. With more than 20 years of experience in diabetes care spanning public and private clinical practice, government and industry, Samantha has worked extensively with healthcare professionals to support the integration of diabetes technologies into routine care. She is passionate about translating clinical evidence into practical strategies that improve outcomes and confidence for both clinicians and people living with diabetes. In the past year, Samantha has also contributed to regional clinical education, research and healthcare professional training initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.

Shaun Johnson is Lead Clinical Science Liaison at Dexcom Australia and an Adjunct Lecturer at Flinders University. Prior to joining Dexcom, Shaun ran the Diabetes Clinical Trials Unit at Southern Adelaide Diabetes and Endocrine Services (SADES), leading multiple Phase II-IV studies and establishing SA Health's first Nurse Practitioner-led clinical trial dispensing program. With clinical experience spanning Australia and the United Kingdom, Shaun has worked across ICU, paediatric diabetes, clinical research and professional education. He spent more than a decade as an ICU nurse before specialising in diabetes and working at the Women's and Children's Hospital (Adelaide), where he was a CDE and co-ordinated the South Australian arm of several paediatric hybrid closed-loop technology trials. Awarded ADEA’s SA CDE of the Year in 2020, Shaun combines more than 30 years of lived experience with T1D with his clinical, research and academic expertise to help advance diabetes care.

Credentialed diabetes educators and founder of Melbourne diabetes Educators Sally’s diabetes education approach is positive, practical and knowledgeable, built on an individual’s situation– as no two journeys look the same. With specialist expertise in Advanced Insulin Delivery (AID) systems and continuous glucose monitoring (CGMS), Sally helps people feel confident with today’s diabetes technology. Sally also contributes to diabetes research working with the team at Melbournes St. Vincents Diabetes Technology & Research Group. When not educating or advocating, you’ll find Sal out for a run, chasing a ball on the hockey field or the tennis court– trying to practice what she preaches – balanced living.

Dr. Partha Kar works in the NHS, UK as a Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology He has been national lead for Type 1 Diabetes in the NHS since 2016. In his NHS England role -over the last decade, he has spearheaded efforts that establish the NHS as a global leader in access to technology for people with Type 1 Diabetes- with one of the highest uptake in CGM and HCL This has resulted in nationwide improvements in HbA1c levels and reductions in DKA and hypo admissions among T1D patients. He is a notable user of social media in diabetes care and writes a monthly blog for the British Medical Journal, along with hosting a YouTube channel called ‘Kar- Mic’. He was awarded an OBE for services to Diabetes care in 2021- and over the last few years- has been working with Breakthrough T1D with a specific focus on improving Type 1 Diabetes care in India.
