Biography
So Hun Kim, M.D., Ph.D. is currently Professor of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Department of Internal Medicine, Inha University College of Medicine, Incheon, Korea and the head of the department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Inha University Hospital. She graduated from Yonsei University College of Medicine in 2000. She earned her Ph.D. at Yonsei University in 2008. After her intern, residency and fellowship at Severance Hospital she joined the division of endocrinology and metabolism, department of internal medicine of Inha University, Inha University Hospital since 2007. Her research focuses on complications of type 2 diabetes, including cardiovascular disease, diabetic kidney disease, and MASLD, lifestyle modification and metabolic syndrome.
She is currently the Director of the Committee of International Liaison of the Korean Diabetes Association, a council member of the Korean Endocrine Society, Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, and Korean Association of Internal Medicine.

Biography
Tony is the Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne and Professor of Medicine with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University.
Tony’s research interests are around models of care for management of diabetes. He has over 150 publications and was awarded the Ranji and Amara Wikramanayake Clinical Diabetes Research Award in 2022. His innovated model of care for management of type 2 diabetes was voted the top innovation across Australia at the Health Round Table in 2024.
Tony is immediate past President of the Australian Diabetes Society.

Shanal Kumar is an Endocrinologist at the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre at The Prince Charles Hospital in Queensland, Australia where she leads the Cystic Fibrosis Endocrine Service.
She completed her medical studies at the University of Melbourne and Endocrinology training in Victoria. Her PhD thesis 'Endocrine and Metabolic Complications in adults living with Cystic Fibrosis' was completed through Monash University. She currently holds an academic appointment at The University of Queensland.
Her research endeavours integrate clinical, qualitative and implementation science methodologies to improve delivery of clinical care to people living with complex chronic disease. With her specific focus on diabetes and cystic fibrosis, her work spans diabetes technology, cardiometabolic health and innovative models of care. Her research has been supported by Cystic Fibrosis Australia, 65K, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation and Queensland Health.

Diabetes of the Exocrine Pancreas: Disease Course and Emerging Therapeutic Evidence

Seung jin Han is a Professor in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Ajou University School of Medicine, and serves as Vice-Secretary General of the Korean Endocrine Society. She contributed to global diabetes research as a Committee Member for the 2021 IDF Diabetes Atlas. Her work focuses on diabetes epidemiology, encompassing diabetes of the exocrine pancreas and post-transplant diabetes, as well as their clinical course and cardiorenal outcomes. She also leads research on contemporary pharmacological interventions, particularly SGLT2 inhibitors and imeglimin, aiming to establish optimized therapeutic strategies for patients with diverse metabolic diseases.
