Biography
Dr. V. Mohan is Chairman, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre and Madras Diabetes Research Foundation at Chennai in South India. He oversees a chain of 51 diabetes centres across 8 states of India and has over 700,000 registered persons with diabetes across his centres. His main research interests are epidemiology of diabetes and its complications, monogenic diabetes, type 1 diabetes, fibrocalculous pancreatic diabetes, precision diabetes and nutrition in diabetes.
Dr. Mohan has published 1875 papers which includes 1220 original articles. His research has attracted over 252,000 citations and has a ‘h index’ of 175.
Dr. Mohan has trained a large number of physicians & diabetologists in addition to nurses and educators. He has received several awards for his research.
