Elaine Chow is a Clinical Associate Professor at Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, External Strategic Affairs Director at the Phase 1 Clinical Trial Centre, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include CGM and digital technologies in prediabetic and CKD populations, clinical trials and real-world studies in cardiorenometabolic disease.

A/Prof Sybil McAuley is a Melbourne-based endocrinologist and clinical researcher specialising in type 1 diabetes. Her research interests include diabetes therapeutic technology, healthy longevity, driving, and psychosocial wellbeing. Sybil leads the multidisciplinary Type 1 Diabetes Clinical Service at the Alfred and holds a co-located Monash University Associate Professorship. She contributes to physician training supervision, national diabetes educational workshops, and serves on Victoria’s Department of Transport Expert Peer Review Panel.

Dr Juliana Chan is Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Director, Hong Kong Institute of Diabetes and Obesity. She is a diabetologist and clinical pharmacologist with interest in epidemiology, genetics, clinical trials and care models. Since 1990s, she had trained a multidisciplinary team and set up the diabetes clinical trial unit and participated in landmark studies in diabetes and kidney disease as lead investigator and member of steering committee. She translated the learning from clinical trials to establish the Hong Kong Diabetes Register and biobank which evolved to become web-based Joint Asia Diabetes Evaluation (JADE) Platform to implement pragmatic trials and data-driven care with creation of real-world evidence and discovery of biomarkers for precision medicine. She has published 1000 articles and 30 book chapters and serves on advisory boards of multinational companies and committees of practice guidelines.

A/Prof Shane Hamblin is an endocrinologist at Western Health, Melbourne and an honorary Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and Deakin University. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee and is the current President of the Endocrine Society of Australia. His main research interest is in the pharmacoepidemiology of type 2 diabetes and he is a part-time PhD student in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University.
