Allira is an experienced advanced practice diabetes nurse educator working across the healthcare continuum. Her work as a Senior Clinical Nurse Advisor for Bolton Clarke, Australia’s largest provider of quality aged care services, marries her passion for quality diabetes management and her extensive experience of providing holistic and person-centred care for people with complex diabetes presentations in the community setting, with the optimisation of diabetes service governance. Allira is also a Diabetes Clinical Nurse Consultant, working across inpatient and outpatient settings at the Austin Hospital. She has a Masters in Nursing Practice, specializing in both Critical Care and Diabetes Education and Management, and is a Credentialed Diabetes Educator through the Australian Diabetes Education Association.

Sarah Jennings is the National Patient Safety lead for medical devices at NHS England, providing advice and guidance for new and under recognised patient safety issues involving medical devices. She has over 30 years’ experience across acute and primary care, working as an ED nurse, and roles within medical equipment management, procurement, decontamination and medical device safety. Sarah’s work focusses on raising the profile of medical device governance to ensure appropriate access and use of safe and effective devices and consumables to meet the needs of today’s high-pressured healthcare settings. Sarah’s understanding of safety science and risk, human factors, and healthcare systems supports improvements in device usability, user experience, and patient safety.

Diana Shipp is a Senior Project Manager at the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and an experienced pharmacist with a career spanning hospital and community pharmacy, medical publishing, the pharmaceutical industry, and government health policy. She has led the development and implementation of several national medication safety initiatives, including Australia's National Standard for User-applied Labelling of Medicines, Fluids and Lines. Diana has extensive expertise in quality use of medicines, medication safety, and the communication of medicines information across clinical and digital health systems. Her current work focuses on national strategies to improve the safe use of high-risk medicines and reduce medication-related harm across Australian healthcare settings.

Dr. Tan Ming Yeong is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the IMU University and a pioneer diabetes educator with 38 years of experience. She received her Doctor of Nursing degree and Credentialled Diabetes Educator from Australia. Dr. Tan played a pivotal role in organizing regular national conferences and co-authored the Malaysian Forum for injection Guidelines and Diabetes Education Manuals. Dr. Tan also serves as a Diabetes Nurse Specialist at the Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre.
