Alicia Jenkins is adult endocrinologist and researcher. Her interests include the prediction and prevention of diabetes complications, lipids, and technology use in diabetes care. She is the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Chair (2025-27), on various IDF committees and President of the Diabetes NGO Insulin For Life.

Professor Weiping Jia is Chair Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Director of the Shanghai Diabetes Institute, and Director of the Institute for Proactive Healthcare of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She has been dedicated to research on precision diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, early warning and screening, pathogenesis, and prevention and control engineering management. She has published more than 300 papers in leading international journals. She is also Chief Editor of the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine, Director of the AASD, President elect of the IDF-WPR, and Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences. Professor Jia has received numerous prestigious honors, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award, Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, Xiaoren Pan Distinguished Research Award for Epidemiology of Diabetes in Asia, and the Ho Leung Ho Lee Prize for Science and Technology.

Steven Kahn is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He holds the Leonard L. Wright and Marjorie C. Wright Chair and directs the Diabetes Research Center at the University. His research interests include the role of the β-cell in the pathogenesis and treatment of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. He has performed physiological studies and actively participated in several large multicenter clinical trials to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes, which include studies comparing youth and adults. Aside from his clinical studies, he has an extensive basic research program examining the loss of β-cells in type 2 diabetes. He is the editor-in-chief of Diabetes Care.

Gerald Watts is a Senior Academic in the School of Medicine, University of Western Australia, and Senior Consultant Physician at the Royal Perth Hospital, where he is Winthrop Professor of Cardiometabolic and Internal Medicine. A graduate in medicine and biochemistry (Hons) from the University of London (Imperial College) and senior scholar at Woolfson College (Oxford University), he trained in university hospitals in the UK. Principal research interests are lipidology, cardiovascular disease and implementation practice. He has published over 900 published works, with key papers in his cognate discipline..

Dr Nikhil Tandon is Professor and Chair of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and Dean (Academics). He has worked within the public healthcare system of India for nearly 30 years as a clinician-researcher specializing in cardio-metabolic disease – having conducted large scale epidemiology studies to ascertain burden and risk factors for these disorders across the life course. His research group has been involved in innovative use of technology and quality improvement strategies to facilitate care delivery for people with diabetes, keeping in mind the resource constraints of a country like India.

Elaine Chow is a Clinical Associate Professor at Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, External Strategic Affairs Director at the Phase 1 Clinical Trial Centre, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include CGM and digital technologies in prediabetic and CKD populations, clinical trials and real-world studies in cardiorenometabolic disease.
