Vincent has been thriving with Type 1 Diabetes for over 32 years—a journey that inspired him to begin volunteering and providing peer support back in 2008. His dedication led him to represent Hong Kong SAR as a Youth Leader at the 9th IDF-WPR Congress in 2012. Since 2014, he has brought his creative talents to the council of Diabetes Hong Kong, designing educational initiatives for children and youth. As a professional designer with a background in Art and Design Education, Vincent uplifts others through storytelling. Through his first picture book, My Space Shuttle #1, he hopes to inspire young Type 1 warriors to embrace their challenges and launch into their own incredible journeys!

I have degrees in microbiology and in the history and philosophy of science, a diploma in library studies, and a day job at the Baker Institute that has very little to do with any of the above. I also write science books, usually for children; they’ve been translated into over twenty languages and won a few awards.
