Linong Ji is a Medicine Professor at Peking University, heading both the Peking University Diabetes Center and the Endocrinology & Metabolism Department of Peking University People’s Hospital. He holds key domestic academic posts: Co-Chair of the Chinese Cardio-Metabolic Association and Co-Executive President of the China Obesity Federation, alongside core roles in major national medical bodies. Internationally, he sits on the executive board of the Asia Association for the Study of Diabetes, with past senior titles including Chair of IDF Western Pacific Region, President of the Chinese Diabetes Society and IDF Global Vice President. Graduated with an MD from Beijing Medical University in 1986, he finished postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School’s Joslin Diabetes Center. His research covers diabetes genetics, translational medicine and innovative anti-diabetes & anti-obesity drugs. Leading over 160 clinical trials, he has authored over 700 peer-reviewed papers. An Elsevier Highly Cited Scholar (2020–2025) and top 2% global scientist (2022–2025), he edits the Chinese Diabetes Journal and joins editorial boards of top international diabetes publications.

Director of the Victorian Heart Hospital and both Professor of Cardiology and Director of the Victorian Heart Institute at Monash University. He is a preventive cardiologist who leads a translational research program from discovery science through to leadership of clinical trials focusing on reducing cardiometabolic risk.

Amit Gupta is a physician leader and global advocate in diabetes and metabolic health, with a strong focus on prevention, implementation science, and health systems strengthening. He serves in key leadership and advisory roles across national and international platforms, contributing to clinical education, policy dialogue, and population-health initiatives. Dr. Gupta is actively involved with professional societies and global collaborations advancing integrated metabolic care, digital health innovation, and equitable access. He is recognized for translating evidence into real-world practice, mentoring clinicians, and convening multi-stakeholder dialogues to accelerate impact across prevention, care delivery, and policy.

Professor Jerry Greenfield is an endocrinologist with primary clinical and research interests in the fields of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and obesity. He also has significant experience in treating other endocrine conditions, including thyroid disease and osteoporosis. Professor Greenfield is Head of Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes Services at St Vincent’s Hospital, and a Consultant Endocrinologist at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Professor Greenfield is a Laboratory Head and Faculty Member at Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, and Professor, St Vincent’s Clinical Campus, School of Clinical Medicine, University of New South Wales. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed research papers in national and international medical journals.
