Prof. Lim is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and Head of the Department of Research, Development, and Innovation at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is the former Head of the Diabetes Care Unit, Universiti Malaya (2022-2025). She also holds honorary positions at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, Melbourne, Australia. As a clinician-scientist, Prof. Lim’s major areas of interest are cardiometabolic medicine (epidemiology, molecular, and implementation science). Prof. Lim sits on the Scientific Work Groups of the American Diabetes Association/European Association for the Study of Diabetes (ADA/EASD) Precision Medicine in Diabetes Initiative and the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Diabetes Compact. She has published more than 130 peer-reviewed articles, including in The Lancet, Nature, Diabetes Care, and Science Bulletin. Prof. Lim has received several awards, including the 2025 Malaysia Scopus Research Start Award – Women in Research Excellence (STEM) Category, Universiti Malaya’s Top Cited Researcher 2024, World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for 4 consecutive years (2022-2025), and the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) Albert Renold Fellowship, tenable at the University of Oxford, UK. She is an Editorial Board Member of several Tier 1 Web of Science-indexed journals. She is also the Vice President of Diabetes Malaysia (a country affiliate of the International Diabetes Federation) and the Council Member of the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society

Linong Ji is a Medicine Professor at Peking University, heading both the Peking University Diabetes Center and the Endocrinology & Metabolism Department of Peking University People’s Hospital. He holds key domestic academic posts: Co-Chair of the Chinese Cardio-Metabolic Association and Co-Executive President of the China Obesity Federation, alongside core roles in major national medical bodies. Internationally, he sits on the executive board of the Asia Association for the Study of Diabetes, with past senior titles including Chair of IDF Western Pacific Region, President of the Chinese Diabetes Society and IDF Global Vice President. Graduated with an MD from Beijing Medical University in 1986, he finished postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School’s Joslin Diabetes Center. His research covers diabetes genetics, translational medicine and innovative anti-diabetes & anti-obesity drugs. Leading over 160 clinical trials, he has authored over 700 peer-reviewed papers. An Elsevier Highly Cited Scholar (2020–2025) and top 2% global scientist (2022–2025), he edits the Chinese Diabetes Journal and joins editorial boards of top international diabetes publications.

Dr. Kong is Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests are diabesity with focus on clinical trials related to novel technology and therapeutics. She is the Editor in Chief of Primary Care Diabetes, Editorial Board Member of Diabetes Care, Section Editor of Current Diabetes Reports, and International Associate Editor of Diabetes Technology and Therapeutics. Dr. Kong is dedicated to teaching and won the Faculty Education Award in 2022. She has presented at numerous local, regional and international meetings and has published over 400 articles in international peer-reviewed journals.

Professor Chih-Yuan Wang currently serves as Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). He is also a Professor of Medicine at the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, where he plays a key role in advancing endocrine and metabolic research, education, and clinical innovation in Taiwan. Professor Wang received his M.D. from Chung-Shan Medical University, followed by a Ph.D. in Physiology and an EMBA from National Taiwan University. He is a board-certified endocrinologist and certified diabetes educator, with more than three decades of clinical and academic experience. His primary research interests include diabetes therapeutics, cardio-renal-metabolic (CKM) syndrome, thyroid disorders, and biomarker discovery through urinary exosomal peptides. Professor Wang has made significant contributions to understanding the real-world effectiveness of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists, as well as to developing novel urinary biomarkers for thyroid cancer diagnosis and postoperative surveillance. He has published extensively in leading international journals such as The Lancet Healthy Longevity, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, and Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice. His academic leadership has been recognized through numerous prestigious honors, including the Professor Xiao-Ren Pan Distinguished Research Award of the Asian Association for the Study of Diabetes (AASD, 2025), the Dr. Liao Xuezhi Endocrine Award (2025), and the 21st Taiwan National Innovation Award for Academic Research (2024). Dedicated to bridging clinical excellence with translational science, Professor Wang continues to lead multi-center collaborations across Asia, integrating big-data analytics, AI-driven risk modeling, and precision endocrinology to improve patient care and reshape the future of metabolic medicine.
