Edward Chouchani is Professor of Cell Biology at the Dana-Farber Cancer institute and Harvard Medical School, and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator. His lab new technologies to understand how metabolites regulate cellular function in human diseases of aging. His goal is to leverage these newfound mechanisms to develop new therapies for metabolic, inflammatory, and metastatic diseases.

Professor Aleksandra Filipovska is a NHMRC Investigator, Louis Landau Chair in Child Health Research at the University of Western Australia and the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, Australia and a Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Synthetic Biology. She received her PhD from the University of Otago, New Zealand and she was a NZ Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Fellow at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit in Cambridge, the United Kingdom. Her group focuses on the regulation of gene expression by RNA-binding proteins and lipid metabolism in models of disease and multi-omic technologies to elucidate their molecular functions. She develops treatments for mitochondrial, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Aleksandra is an elected fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
