A/Professor Sweeting leads the Maternal Metabolic Health clinical research program within the WHO Physical Activity, Nutrition and Obesity Collaborating Centre, Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney and Department of Endocrinology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Her research advancing precision medicine in diabetes in pregnancy has resulted in NHMRC, ADS Skip Martin and Australia-Harvard Fellowships and publications in high impact journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet and Nature Medicine. A/Professor Sweeting’s international leadership in her field includes co-chairing the IDF Early Gestational Diabetes Consensus, leading the GDM working groups for the Precision Medicine Diabetes Initiative and diaTribe International Diabetes Technology in Pregnancy Consensus, as well as her role as an external expert for the WHO clinical guidelines on maternal and perinatal health and non-communicable diseases.

Dr Sriram is also spear heading a pre conception care initiative titled Be Ready and working with a large group of stakeholders called the Alliance for preconception care [ ALL4PCC]

Professor Helena Teede MBBS FRACP FAAHMS FRANZCOG FRCOG PhD AM is a clinician academic and reproductive endocrinologist at Monash University in Australia. She holds an NHMRC Investigator Fellowship in women’s health. She is Director Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation and leads the Centre for Research Excellence for Women’s Health in Reproductive Life. She has over 800 publications, is a High Cite researcher and has $124M in career grant funding, mostly as lead investigator. She is President of the International Society of Endocrinology. Her research program focuses on women’s reproductive and metabolic health including PCOS, where she leads international guidelines. She also has research and training programs in women in leadership and in large scale health system change.

Susan R Davis AO, MBBS FRACP PhD FAHMS is Monash University Vice Chancellor’s Distinguish Professor. She is Head of the Monash University Women’s Health Research Program and holds a prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) of Australia Level 3 Investigator Grant. Prof Davis is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Head of the Women’s Endocrine Clinic, Alfred Hospital Melbourne and an Executive Council Member of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.

Dr. Sugiyama is the President of the Japan Society of Diabetes and Pregnancy and a leading authority in the field of diabetes and pregnancy in Japan. With extensive experience in clinical practice and research, Dr. Sugiyama has contributed significantly to advancing the understanding and management of diabetes during pregnancy. Their work focuses on improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through evidence-based care and interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Sugiyama continues to play a central role in shaping clinical guidelines and promoting research in this important field.

Lorna Berry was the Victorian State Delegate for POSAA for over 15 years and continues to represent the voice of people living with PMOS as a consumer advocate on the CREWHIRL PMOS guideline committee. Lorna contributed to the 2023 and 2028 PMOS guideline development processes and was also a member of the International PMOS name change committee. She is passionate about women’s health and empowering women to be informed about their health through evidence-based research and knowledge.

Siba Diqer is a passionate diabetes advocate committed to improving the lives of people living with diabetes through policy, education and system reform. She works to promote equitable access to care, strengthen patient voices, and support better health outcomes through her advocacy including giving evidence at the Parliamentary Inquiry into Diabetes and meeting with Members of Parliament, facilitating educational workshops with Diabetes Victoria, and participating in leading research with the Baker Institute.
