A Case of Worsening AV block during Exercise Testing
1:30 PM - 1:45 PMBiography
Emma Archer is a newly qualified Cardiac Physiologist at Tauranga Hospital with a developing interest in arrhythmia electrophysiology and cardiac implantable electronic devices. In 2025, she delivered an oral presentation as part of her Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Technology (MTEC), which was awarded Best Presentation within her cohort and led to the opportunity to present at CSANZ 2026. Her presentation explores a compelling case of exercise‑induced atrioventricular block encountered during her time as a Trainee Physiologist, highlighting the clinical utility of exercise treadmill testing in the diagnosis of conduction abnormalities and in guiding the urgency of permanent pacing.
