Biography

Dr. Iqra Mushtaq is a cardiovascular biologist holding a PhD in sodium channelopathy-mediated fibrosis and metabolic disorders from a top institution in Taiwan. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher developing engineered exosomes as therapeutic strategies for myocarditis and cardiovascular inflammation. Her research explores the molecular mechanism underlying sodium channelopathy-derived cardiac remodeling and extends to exosome-mediated intercellular signaling to mitigate cardiac injury and modulate immune responses. Her work emphasizes the translation of fundamental disease biology into innovative cardiovascular therapeutics.
