Dr Sandeep Basavarajaiah has been working as a consultant cardiologist at Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham, United Kingdom, since 2014. He received intervention training at world-renowned centres (Papworth Hospital, Cambridge; San Raffaele Hospital, Milan; and Imperial College, London). He also researched the athlete’s heart, focusing on differences in the cardiovascular adaptation to training in black and white athletes.
He works in a busy unit that undertakes around 2000 angioplasties per year, and he performs over 250 PCI annually. Most of his cases are complex interventions, including CTO-PCI, calcified lesions, and left main cases. He leads the CTO-PCI at Heartlands Hospital and regularly organises workshops in collaboration with World experts. Sandeep also has special interests in drug-coated balloons and is considered one of the field's experts. He has presented at various international meetings. He has also been proctoring various centres in Europe and Asia on performing DCB angioplasty. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is also the research lead in his trust and is part of several randomised control trials and registries.

Harvey is a Cardiologist and Director of the Green Lane Cardiovascular Research Unit, Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, Te Toka Tumai. He is an Honorary Professor of Medicine University of Auckland and Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand. Harvey trained at Green Lane Hospital, Auckland and Harvard and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. He is the John Neutze Scholar awarded by the Heart Lung Foundation. He was awarded the Prince Mahidol Award (Nobel Prize of the East) by the King of Thailand for introducing fibrinolytic therapy in developing countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Samoa and China. He is a Matai (La’uli) in Samoa for services to Samoa, and has a “pou” in the Te Awamutu Walk of Fame recognising his contribution to decreasing heart disease in New Zealand.

Professor Harding is the Director of Cardiology Research, and an Interventional Cardiologist at Wellington Hospital , Wellington, New Zealand. He is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Biological Sciences, Victoria University, Wellington. Professor Harding undertook cardiology an interventional training in Wellington Hospital, the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Professor Harding has lectured on and proctored complex PCI, CTO and intravascular imaging internationally. Current research interests include, intravascular imaging, optimising PCI and platelet biology. He is an active researcher having published more than 140 papers.

Dr. Marcus Lee is an Interventional Cardiologist and Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Whangārei Hospital, where he has built the Northland regional cardiac catheterisation service from the ground up over the past decade. He has a particular interest in delivering equitable, high-quality interventional care to geographically isolated and high-needs populations. He is also a below average runner with the nickname 'Slow Lee'.

Adam Nelson MBBS MBA MPH PhD is an interventional and preventative cardiologist appointed to the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals and the University of Adelaide where he is the head of the Cardiometabolic Clinical Trial Unit. Adam is the chair of the CSANZ Prevention Council and Academic Lead of the Asia Pacific Cardiometabolic Consortium. Adam is on the national or global leadership of multiple trials evaluating emerging therapies for dyslipidaemia, obesity and diabetes. He is the recipient of >$10millon of peer-reviewed grant funding and received the Shirley Hamilton Award for the National Heart Foundation top ranked post-doctoral fellowship candidate. He has over 200 publications and book chapters but is most proud of his two boys, Archer and Max.
