Biography

Dr. Marcus Lee is an Interventional Cardiologist and Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Whangārei Hospital, where he has built the Northland regional cardiac catheterisation service from the ground up over the past decade. He has a particular interest in delivering equitable, high-quality interventional care to geographically isolated and high-needs populations. He is also a below average runner with the nickname 'Slow Lee'.

Biography

Libby Curtis is a cardiologist specializing in heart failure management, cardiac imaging, and device management based in Hawkes Bay working at the Hawkes Bay Hospital. She completed her cardiology training in Auckland, including advanced fellowships in heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and device management. Internationally, she gained expertise in echocardiography and interventional imaging during a fellowship in Rennes, France, under Professor Erwan Donal and supported by the Heart Foundation's, Benjamin Grant. Dr. Curtis is a published researcher with a focus on advanced imaging techniques and cardiac sarcoidosis and has presented her work at major global conferences. A passionate educator, she has held teaching roles at the University of Auckland and continues to mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Biography

Professor Harding is the Director of Cardiology Research, and an Interventional Cardiologist at Wellington Hospital , Wellington, New Zealand. He is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Biological Sciences, Victoria University, Wellington. Professor Harding undertook cardiology an interventional training in Wellington Hospital, the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Professor Harding has lectured on and proctored complex PCI, CTO and intravascular imaging internationally. Current research interests include, intravascular imaging, optimising PCI and platelet biology. He is an active researcher having published more than 140 papers.
