Ashley Mountfort is a Trainee Cardiac Physiologist at Gisborne Hospital, currently undertaking distance training through Waikato Hospital within a hybrid model. Ashley serves as Deputy Chair of the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention Working Group for CSANZ and has 15 years’ experience in cardiac rehabilitation across the United States, Dunedin, and Gisborne. With strong whakapapa to Scotland, she is also a registered teacher of Scottish Highland Dancing and remains actively involved in this community. Ashley is passionate about the role of whakawhānaungatanga in enhancing patient care and improving equitable health outcomes for communities in Te Tairāwhiti. Outside of her clinical work, Ashley values an active lifestyle and family time, enjoying squash, football, and tramping. She also represented her team at the 2025 national squash championship, where they achieved a tournament win.

Sue has worked in New Zealand’s health system for nearly 40 years and currently holds two part‑time roles: Cardiac Physiologist at Auckland City Hospital and Data Specialist at Starship Hospital. She is completing a part‑time Master’s degree at the University of Auckland and was honoured to receive a Pūtahi Manawa scholarship to support her studies. Her research forms part of an integrated programme focused on improving equity in cardiovascular research, with a particular emphasis on addressing the longstanding under‑representation of women in heart health studies.

Amanda Scully is a cardiac physiologist specialising in electrophysiology and cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) management at Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley – Health New Zealand. She is completing a Professional Doctorate of Health exploring the delivery of CIED follow-up care management in New Zealand. Her research interests are situated at the intersection of clinical practice, health service leadership, and health systems and policy research.

Miriam Norman is a senior Cardiac Physiologist at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Australia, specialising in cardiac implantable electronic devices and echocardiography.
She is a former Chair of Professionals in Cardiac Sciences Australia (PiCSA) and currently serves on the CSANZ Heart Rhythm Council and Allied Health Science and Technology Council. Miriam is a strong advocate for the recognition, regulation, and education of the cardiac physiology workforce.
