Registration Terms and Conditions

• Full payment for registration fees must be received prior to the Congress etc.
• All prices are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 10%. 
• Super Earlybird registration closes 28th February 2027. If payment has not been received by this date, then earlybird rates will apply.
• Earlybird registration opens on 1 March 2027 and closes on 1st July 2027.  If payment has not been received by this date, then standard rates will apply
• If you cancel your registration on or prior to 19 June 2027 you will receive a refund less a cancellation fee of $25. 
• If you cancel your registration between 20th June - 19th July 2027, you will receive a refund less a cancellation fee of $150. Cancellations made after this date are non-refundable.
• If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the Congress is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after the deduction of expenses already incurred.
• By registering for the Congress, you are confirming consent for any video and photographs taken at the Congress, in which you may appear, to be used by the Association in promotion of the Congress.
• By registering for the Congress, you are consenting for your data to be used as per the “Data Consent Policy”. If you decide against your data being used, your registration will be cancelled less the cancellation fee above.
• The Privacy Act 1988 provides that, before your name and contact details can be published in a list of participants you must give your consent.  If you select ‘Yes, I do want my details to be included in the list of participants’ on the registration form or by email, your details may be distributed to:
  • Congress delegates, sponsors and exhibitors       
  • Organisers of future Diabetes Australia, ADEA and ADS events

Information Presented at the Congress 

The information presented at the Congress is solely intended for Health Care Professionals. 
You understand and agree that you are being provided with the information for educational and informational purposes only and that information will be provided to educate you on the latest scientific, clinical, therapeutic and educational advancements. 
You understand and agree that whilst the content is accessible worldwide, some content may be applicable to particular regions only, such as Australia and New Zealand. 

Although the Congress strives to present only current and accurate information at its Congress, you agree not to solely rely on this information or consider it to be any form of professional advice without additional independent review of its accuracy, completeness, efficacy, and timeliness. 
Any decisions as to how you use this information is in your sole discretion and the Congress will not be liable for any issues that may arise from such use. 

Participant Conduct

You will conduct yourself in a professional manner that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
You will treat all participants with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at the Australian Diabetes Congress 2027.

Legal Claim 

This agreement is subject to the law of Australia. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party, Australia shall be the sole court of jurisdiction. 

Program

the Congress reserve the right to modify the program, which is published as an indication only. 

Recordings 

Diabetes Australia, ADEA and ADS plan to record the Congress, which recording will be made available on the Congress websites and for distribution to Congress registrants. 
In addition, the Congress may be live-streamed. I acknowledge that photographs and/or videos may be taken of me and other attendees at any time during the Congress and may be used in media, including websites and print publications. 

Insurance

If you are travelling to the Congress, it is strongly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the duration of your visit.

Accommodation Terms and Conditions (if applicable)

• Prices are in AU dollars and include Goods and Services tax of 10%
• A credit card guarantee is taken at the time of booking. The credit card will be charged by the hotel as specified below
• Rates provided for each of the hotels are specific to the Congress dates only and are room only unless specified
• Room configurations are subject to availability. The requested configuration will be sent to the hotel but cannot be guaranteed
• You will be asked to provide credit card details for pre-authorisation on check in. If you do not wish to use your credit card then alternatively you can pay a deposit on check in
• Please be advised the hotel may apply a surcharge to all credit card payments, payment by cash or EFTPOS will not incur a surcharge.

Holiday Inn Express  

• Individual Bookings:
  • To secure your reservation, a credit card guarantee for the full stay is required. The credit card details provided via the online booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel. Please note, the hotel will charge the full amount to this card 30 days prior to your arrival.
  • If you cancel your booking on or after 12 July 2027, or fail to check in on your scheduled arrival date, a cancellation fee equivalent to the full stay will be charged to the credit card provided.
• Group Bookings:
  • Credit card details or full pre-payment are required to secure group bookings of 8 rooms or more. If credit card details are provided as guarantee, these will be securely transferred to the hotel. Please note, the hotel will charge the full amount to this card 30 days prior to arrival.  
  • If the group is cancelled between 17 May 2027 and 16 June 2027, a 20% cancellation fee for the entire group will apply.  
  • If the group is cancelled between 16 June 2026 and 12 July 2027, a 50% cancellation fee for the entire group will apply. 
  • If the group is cancelled on our after 12 July 2027, or the group fails to check in on the scheduled arrival date, a cancellation fee equivalent to the full stay will apply.  
• Any incidental expenses or additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled directly with the hotel upon departure.
• On check-in, guests will be asked to present an additional $100 security deposit (per room), which is held until check out. This deposit can be processed onto a credit card, where it may be held as a preauthorization for up to 30 days after checking out, or in cash which can be returned upon check out, minus any additional charges incurred.
• Check-in time: From 2PM. Check-out time: By 10AM.

Intercontinental

  • If you cancel your booking on or after 12 July 2027, or fail to check in on your scheduled arrival date, a cancellation fee equivalent to the full stay will be charged to the credit card provided.
• Group Bookings:
  • Credit card details or full pre-payment are required to secure group bookings of 8 rooms or more.
