Harnessing the power of potatoes - Join us for an extraordinary initiative dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for Childhood Dementia during the World Potato Congress week in Adelaide from June 23 to 26, 2024, with the generous support of Potatoes Australia Ltd and the World Potato Congress! Just as potatoes are versatile and nutritious, our collective efforts can nourish hope and ignite change.

Did you know that Childhood Dementia affects an estimated 700,000 children worldwide? Shockingly, around 50,000 babies are born each year with conditions that lead to Childhood Dementia. This genetic disorder gradually robs children of fundamental skills like writing, reading, speaking, walking, and playing. Tragically, 50% of affected children won't see their 10th birthday, and 75% won't reach 18.

💔 But here's the inspiring part: Together, we can rewrite this narrative! So let’s roast childhood dementia!

Currently, there is no treatment or cure for Childhood Dementia. However, by increasing awareness and supporting research efforts, we can enhance survival rates and the quality of life for these brave young souls.

In Australia alone, Childhood Dementia claims 91 lives annually—almost as many as cancer. It's time to shift the focus and prioritise the urgent need for solutions.

Chipping away to find the answers - At Flinders University, South Australia, world-class research is underway, spearheaded by the Little Heroes Foundation. Your participation directly contributes to funding crucial research that could lead to breakthrough treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Childhood Dementia.

The impact of these breakthroughs won't be confined to one corner of the globe—this is a worldwide issue that demands our collective attention and action.

🌐 Help us pave the way for brighter futures for children battling dementia by joining our events and activities. Your involvement not only raises funds but also spreads hope and awareness on a global scale.

To learn more about Childhood Dementia and how you can make a difference, visit: Little Heroes Foundation Childhood Dementia Page.

Together, let's rally behind our little heroes and ignite a movement of compassion, hope, and progress! 🌈✨
