a2 Milk Technical Symposium

The Science behind a2 Milk®

Nov 17, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

At the IDF’s 82nd World Dairy Summit in Auckland in 2001, The a2 Milk Company introduced the a2 Milk® brand of A1 protein–free (A1PF) milk to the world. Twenty-five years on, A1PF is now a global category exceeding USD 10 billion, with participants ranging from regional producers to multinational companies. Supported by a rapidly expanding body of peer-reviewed science, A1PF dairy is defined by the natural absence of A1 beta-casein, helping make the nutritional value of dairy more accessible. This presentation highlights the scientific foundation and the need for robust, standardised testing to ensure product integrity and consumer confidence.

MADCAP Technical Symposium

Unlocking the dairy supply chain: Building resilience through upstream visibility

Nov 17, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

Volatility, sustainability scrutiny and tightening reporting standards are elevating visibility into raw-milk supply from operational concern to enterprise priority. Yet critical data at the point of collection often remains fragmented and disconnected from decision-making.

Drawing on the design and implementation of one of the world’s largest centralised raw-milk supply chain systems, MADCAP will present a real-world case of upstream digitisation at scale. The discussion will consider how integrated digital infrastructure and real-time data access strengthened governance, elevated reporting integrity and reinforced resilience across a global dairy supply chain operating in 23 countries.

TetraPak Technical Symposium

Shaping the Next Generation of Dairy Processing

Nov 17, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

As the dairy sector navigates rising expectations for nutrition, sustainability and economic resilience, new opportunities are emerging to rethink how dairy is processed, packaged and delivered. In this opening session, Tetra Pak will share a forward‑looking perspective on how advancements in digitalisation, automation and intelligent factory platforms are enabling the industry to reduce energy use, optimise water consumption and minimise waste, while strengthening quality and reliability across every stage of production.

Drawing on global insights and the evolving needs of dairy industry this discussion will explore how modern operating systems such as Tetra Pak Factory OSTM  , together with breakthroughs in processing technologies like advanced UHT, filtration and recovery, are helping producers build future‑ready dairy operations. These innovations are already shaping how leaders think about efficiency, transparency and sustainability as interconnected drivers of long‑term value.

Join us to explore the next chapter of dairy processing, one defined by smarter systems, stronger resilience and shared opportunity across the region and the world.

Powering Dairy: dairy factory decarbonisation and energy security in Aotearoa | New Zealand

Nov 18, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

Richard Stretton, Technical Director Process Systems at Aurecon, will talk about the various decarbonisation projects across New Zealand’s dairy sector in recent years. These projects have included industrial scale electrification and biomass conversions as well as investigations into the potential of biogas and other fuel alternatives. Richard and the Aurecon team have worked across the full decarbonisation process, from Purchase Price Agreeements (PPAs) through to on-site installation of new equipment. This session will be of interest to those involved in, or interested in opportunities to continue to decarbonise the dairy process.

Supporting More Sustainable and Resilient Dairy Businesses with BioSolutions - from farm to finished products.

Nov 18, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

Dairy producers are facing pressure to reduce impacts while maintaining efficiency, product quality, and profitability. Key challenges include lowering greenhouse gas emissions, improving resource efficiency, reducing food waste, and meeting evolving expectations around nutrition and product quality. At Novonesis, we embed sustainability in how we innovate and partner across the dairy value chain. Our BioSolutions help support progress towards more sustainable practices from farm to finished products - contributing to improved feed efficiency, animal health, milk utilization, reduced water and energy use in processing, and enabling more nutritious products. By working closely with customers, we support more resilient dairy businesses globally.

Smart Membrane Solutions Technical Symposium

Reviewing the Growth and Impact of Membrane Filtration in Modern Dairy Processing

Nov 18, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

Membranes are no longer just filtration tools — they are strategic assets shaping the future of dairy. Over the past 30 years, they have unlocked high-value protein streams and transformed plant efficiency. Now, the conversation is shifting. What application opportunities are we missing and with lost yield, value add opportunities, water or chemical recovery? What is membrane downtime truly costing you? Are end-of-life practices undermining your sustainability targets? As dairy processors face tighter margins and greater environmental scrutiny in 2026, total cost of ownership, digital monitoring, and stronger technical partnerships are becoming non-negotiable. This session challenges conventional thinking and explores how smarter membrane strategies can unlock resilience, profitability, and measurable sustainability gains

Veeva Technical Symposium

Connecting People, Quality, and Data for a Resilient and Sustainable Dairy Future

Nov 18, 2026 | 0700 - 0800

In today’s shifting dairy landscape, the health of ‘People, Planet, and Economies’ depends on an organization’s ability to turn fragmented data into a connected strategic asset. With new research revealing a dramatic surge in CPG organizations unifying legacy systems (from 42% to 62% in 2025 alone), this session explores how a "foundation first" approach enables the predictive excellence and AI-readiness essential for dairy’s intelligent future. Moderated by Natasha D’Costa Telles (Veeva QualityOne Asia) and featuring a diverse panel of industry leaders, we’ll discuss how to align cross-functional perspectives to solve today’s real-world dairy problems.
