Tripartite 2019 celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Tripartite Economic Alliance/Honongo Ōhanga Tokotoru, first signed by the three partner cities of Guangzhou, Los Angeles and Auckland in 2014. This agreement, designed to enhance and grow new connections in trade, investment, jobs and shared knowledge, is recognised annually by a gathering in one of the three partner cities. 2019 is Auckland’s year to host the event.
Auckland Tourism Events and Economic Development (ATEED), Auckland’s economic growth agency, and Auckland Council will welcome civic and business delegations from our alliance partners Los Angeles and Guangzhou, two Asia-Pacific economic powerhouses.
Take part and connect with international entrepreneurs and businesses from Los Angeles, Guangzhou and Auckland.
Tripartite 2019 coincides with Techweek19 (20 – 26 May), New Zealand’s festival of innovation and largest tech-related business event.
Techweek19 showcases New Zealand’s world-leading technology and innovation success stories, entrepreneurs and companies. Originating in Auckland before going nationwide, Techweek features a week-long series of some 500 tech-related events, with more than 20,000 participants expected to attend across the country.
Day 1 will focus on tech and innovation, in alignment with Techweek19, with opportunities for delegates to connect with Techweek19 participants through innovation and investment sessions. Speakers will include international and domestic tech leaders showcasing creative storytelling, wellbeing and public innovation. There will also be a business matching service and a session on health tech.
Day 2 will be Tripartite delegates only with bespoke workshops on new economy sectors such as screen, and an opportunity to connect with Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland’s Maori economy and businesses.
By registering for Tripartite 2019, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with Los Angeles and Guangzhou businesses visiting Auckland to explore trade, investment and partnership opportunities across a wide range of sectors.
