Timea Palos is an official of the European Commission, who works as a case handler in the Cartels Directorate of DG Competition. She studied Law in Budapest and holds a Master’s degree in European and International Law from the University of Bremen, Germany. She had worked in the private practice at an international law firm for several years before joining the European Commission in 2007. First, she worked at the Hearing Office, which is responsible to ensure the effective exercise of parties’ procedural rights in competition proceedings. She joined the Cartels Directorate of DG Competition in 2013, where she has been involved in a number of cartel investigations and international competition law matters.
