Kata Rados is the Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Cartels and Deceptive Marketing Practices Branch of the Competition Bureau, for the Quebec and Atlantic regions. Kata began working for the Competition Bureau in May 2005, initially joining the Cartels Directorate as a competition law officer. In this role, she actively participated in international price-fixing investigations.
In 2007, Kata was deployed to the Montreal regional office where she began working with the Deceptive Marketing Practices Directorate. The majority of her work shifted to deceptive telemarketing and misleading representations cases as well as contributing to further developing the Bureau’s relationships with its international and domestic partners. In 2018, Kata became the Assistant Deputy Commissioner for the Bureau’s Quebec regional office. In this role, she oversees both civil and criminal enforcement matters and continues to play a role in strengthening the Bureau’s relationships with its partners.
