Jorge Fernandes Ferreira has been the Head of the Anti-Cartel Unit of the Portuguese Competition Authority since October 2013, having previously worked for 6 years as a lawyer and legal counsel in the Legal Department and as a Competition Expert in the Antitrust Department of the Competition Authority.He also served as a Senior Legal Expert in the Portuguese Central Bank between 2011 and 2013.Previously, he worked in the private sector, as a lawyer at Uría & Menéndez and another Law firm in Lisbon, where he began his career in 2002.He obtained his MBA from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in partnership with ESADE Barcelona, in 2009, where he also completed a Post-Graduation in Management (2007).He holds a postgraduate degree in Competition Law and Regulation from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Faculty for which he graduated in Law (2002).
