Famed for the geothermal activity, you will find spouting geysers, bubbling mud pools and colourful sinter terraces around Rotorua. Not only are the geothermal parks spectacular to visit, the wellness industry harnesses the power of these special waters for healing so you can soak in the mineral rich waters and leave feeling refreshed and revitalised.  

Rotorua is an adventure playground too. For those craving a bit more adrenaline you can white water raft, jet boat, luge ZORB and many more on the waters and around the slopes of Rotorua.

Rotorua enjoys a pleasant climate - plenty of sun in summer with crisp clear days in winter. Rotorua averages over 2120 hours of sunshine and just over 140cm of rain each year. Temperatures in September-November are usually from 13 - 21ºC. It can be cold in the evenings so do bring attire to keep warm for the evening activities.
