Climate
Rotorua enjoys a pleasant climate - plenty of sun in summer with crisp clear days in winter. Rotorua averages over 2120 hours of sunshine and just over 140cm of rain each year. Temperatures in September-November are usually from 13 - 21ºC. It can be cold in the evenings so do bring attire to keep warm for the evening activities.
Dining
With more than 50 restaurants to choose from, Rotorua offers a wide range of casual dining options. Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Korean, South American, Indian, Mediterranean and European restaurants abound. Visitors to the city should also try a traditional Maori hangi.
