Call for Abstracts 


The Call for Abstracts for ForestSAT 2024 has now closed.


General Guidelines

  • Abstracts submitted for an Oral or Poster presentation should be typed into this template and saved on your computer for later reference.
  • The filename of the Word document should be named as the first five words of your abstract title. It should contain alpha/numeric characters only and no author names or affiliations.
  • The abstract should be typed in Arial font, size 11.
  • The abstract text should be limited to 500 words (excluding title and references).
  • Do not include author details (neither names nor affiliations) on the abstract document. You will enter these directly into the online form.
  • Paragraphs must be separated by an empty line and must be left justified. Do not indent the first line of a paragraph.
  • Please view the Terms and Conditions for submission.

Instructions

  • Click this link to access the online abstract submission form.
  • You will first need to create an account by clicking on the "Create New Account" button on the right side of the screen. Once you have created an account, you can use the same account to submit multiple abstracts. 
  • Once you have an account and have logged in, please complete the information on the "Contact Information" tab, then the "Submit an Abstract here" tab will be accessible. 
  • For each abstract, please complete all the required fields and upload your abstract document. Please follow all instructions on the online form.
  • Once all required fields are completed, you will be able to agree to the terms and submit your abstract. 
  • You can save your document and edit at a later time if you cannot complete all fields immediately.
  • The status of your abstract (draft or submitted) can be viewed on the "View/Edit Abstracts" tab, please ensure all abstracts you want to be considered have a status of "Abstract Submitted". Abstracts saved as drafts are not submitted and will not move forward to review.   
  • After completing the abstract submission process, you will receive an email confirming your submission. If you do not receive an email within 24hrs, please contact forestsat2024@theconferencecompany.com.
  • All abstracts will be peer reviewed and acceptance of abstracts will be based on the outcome of the review. Presenters will be notified of the outcome in May.

When submitting your abstract, you will be asked to select the main area that your abstract aligns with from the following list of Special Session and General Session topics. If your abstract fits across multiple topics, you can identify any relevant alternatives from the list as well. If you abstract does not align with any of the listed Special and General Session topics please select ‘Other’.
