New to the field, Hugh combines his academic expertise with practical experience to contribute to Paediatric healthcare.

Biography

Mike is a 2nd-year PhD Candidate with Curtin University and a Respiratory and Sleep Scientist. Based at Telethon Kids Institute in the Children's Lung Health team, his PhD research is focussed on the long-term impacts of preterm birth on the physiological responses to exercise, lung function, and physical activity.

Lindsay is the Lead Respiratory Physiologist at Palmerston North Hospital. Lindsay obtained CRFS in 2018 and led her team to obtain ANZSRS Laboratory Accreditation. Lindsay manages a tiny but mighty lab who work efficiently and with excellence and recently achieved the MidCentral Allied health "champion for collaboration and integration” award.

Ella F. S. Guy is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Bioengineering at the University of Canterbury. Her work has been mainly in respiratory system identification, modelling, and control of non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

Biography

Vahid joined Austin Health as a respiratory scientist in 2015. He secured his CRFS in 2017 and pursued a master's in applied analytics from the University of Melbourne, completed in 2022. For his final university project, Vahid conducted a retrospective cohort study exploring the survival benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation.
