Steven Bozinovski is the Director of the Centre for Respiratory Science and Health at RMIT University. Throughout his career, he has actively partnered with industry and clinical collaborators to drive translational research programs. Steven's research focuses on respiratory pharmacology and immunology, with an emphasis on developing new therapeutics for debilitating lung diseases including asthma, COPD and lung cancer. His group focuses on developing innovative strategies that harness pro-resolution therapeutics to actively switch off chronic inflammation underpinning disease pathology.

Calvin is a respiratory physician and interventional pulmonologist at Western Health (Victoria). He has subspecialty interest and training in basic and advanced bronchoscopy, as well as pleural medicine.

Dr Sohal is Head of the Respiratory Translational Research Group at the University of Tasmania, Launceston, and internationally recognized leader in chronic lung disease. His research group is focused on discovering and identifying novel mechanisms that may act as exciting new therapeutic targets for treating chronic lung diseases, such as COPD, lung cancer, asthma-COPD overlap, pulmonary hypertension and ILDs. His lab is also home to investigations regarding effects of electronic smoking devices on lung health. Dr Sohal’s work has been noted in the WHO documents informing global policy. He has been the Board Director TSANZ, and President TSANZ Tasmania Branch. Dr Sohal has been appointed Deputy Chair by the ERS for the Molecular Pathology and Functional Genomics Group.
