Biography

MBBS MPHTM CCPU FRACP PhD Paul is a Respiratory/Sleep Physician at Monash Health in Melbourne, Australia, an Associate Professor of Medicine at Monash University and a Fellow in the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Asthma Treatable Traits. Paul’s interests include airways disease, complex dyspnoea and novel imaging modalities. He is a founding member of the Global Initiative for Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction, an international peak body for respiratory laryngeal disorders.

Alice is an early career clinician-researcher currently completing her PhD at Curtin University.

Professor of Respiratory Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Past Director, Lung Sleep Allergy & Immunology, Monash University and Medical Centre, Melbourne. Recognised for investigation of obstructive lung diseases (particularly virus-asthma-COPD exacerbations) and has conducted research of new asthma and COPD therapies. Recently research has examined vocal cord dysfunction in obstructive lung diseases. Professional activities reflect a career-long commitment to research and medical education, particularly in the areas of asthma and COPD. Recipient of ongoing Australian NH&MRC funding, chaired Australian NH&MRC Respiratory Grant Review Panel and served on the NH&MRC Academy. Currently Co-Editor of Respirology, official journal of the TSANZ and APSR.

Dr Vanessa Clark is the Centre Research Manager for the Centre of Research Excellence in Treatable Traits. Her recent work focuses around the best approach for the management of severe asthma and how to implement it that approach. This includes a primary care perspective, tertiary care perspective and patient perspective.
