Dr Clare Tiedeman is a respiratory physician, early career researcher and part of the advanced airways service at the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. She has recently completed a clinical fellowship in airways disease at the Oxford University Hospitals. Clare is passionate about excellence in clinical care and has been involved in the development of the Clinical Care Standards in COPD with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare and phase 2 and 3 clinical trials in airways disease.

Vanessa is currently a respiratory physician and the medical clinical superintendent at Westmead Hospital. Her specialty interests include that of pulmonary vascular disease, pulmonary hypertension and sleep medicine.

David is the medical director for his practice, the Tasmanian Lung Centre.
David works full-time in private practice and juggles seeing his outpatients, inpatients (and is the only practitioner providing respiratory medicine input to all 3 private hospitals in Hobart), procedural work and running his practice. In addition to this, David remains involved in the local community providing GP education and outreach lung-function services as well as being involved with various medical advisory committees at Calvary Lenah Valley and is the chair of the medical ward sub-committee.
When he's not busy with work, David is constantly fighting a losing battle of making sure his daughter's don't complain about being hungry (despite being fed copious amounts of berries) or bored.
Dr Vineeth George

Biography
Dr George is a Staff Specialist in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the John Hunter, Newcastle, and a member of HMRI’s Asthma and Breathing Group. In 2020 he completed a two-year fellowship with the Oxford Pleural Unit and is currently a doctoral candidate with the University of Newcastle. His research focuses on enhancing safety and quality in pleural intervention. He is the Australian lead for PROSPECT, a large-scale observational trial of pleural procedure outcome, and is leading the STREAMLINE feasibility RCT, which examines a novel diagnostic pathway in MPE. He is a member of the ERS Taskforce on Benign Pleural Effusions, and TSANZ’s working group on pleural procedure competency.
