Dr Vanessa Clark is the Centre Research Manager for the Centre of Research Excellence in Treatable Traits. Vanessa is a post-doctoral researcher in translational asthma research within the Centre for Research Excellence in Severe Asthma. Her recent work focuses around the best approach for the management of severe asthma and how to implement it that approach. This includes a primary care perspective, tertiary care perspective and patient perspective.

A/Prof Vanessa Murphy from the University of Newcastle is a research scientist investigating the characteristics, mechanisms and consequences of asthma exacerbations during pregnancy and their health impact on mother and baby. She is deputy chair of the Hunter Medical Research Institute's Asthma and Breathing Program and a full-time research fellow.

Dr Dennis Thomas is a Research Fellow at the Centre of Research Excellence in Treatable Traits, Hunter Medical Research Institute, The University of Newcastle. He completed his PhD from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. He is an experienced clinical trialist with >15 years of experience in designing and managing clinical trials. His current research focuses on asthma remission, digital asthma care, treatable traits model of care and oral corticosteroid and macrolide antibiotics stewardship in obstructive airway diseases.
