Dr. Kurtis Budden is an early career researcher in the Priority Research Centre for Healthy Lungs at the University of Newcastle, and the Immune Health Research Program at the Hunter Medical Research Institute. His work has investigated the use of microbial metabolites to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Jiacheng Liu is a PhD candidate at the Allergy and Lung Health Unit, The University of Melbourne. His doctoral research emphasises exploring the associations between adverse preconception factors in parents and obstructive lung diseases in their offspring.

Respiratory Physician. Research Leader at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, Macquarie University; Director of the Australian Centre for Airways disease Monitoring (ACAM); Chair of the GINA Science Committee. Research focuses on population level monitoring of asthma and/or COPD, investigating underlying mechanisms of obstructive lung disease, and improving patient outcomes.

Daniel is an advanced trainee in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Monash Health in Victoria, and a post-doctoral researcher at the Allergy and Lung Health Unit at the University of Melbourne.

Professor Merryn Tawhai is the Director of the Auckland Bioengineering Institute at the University of Auckland. She leads a research programme in applied computational physiology of the respiratory system. Merryn is a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, IAMBE, and AIMBE, and a member of the Fleischner Society.

Dr. Tony (Xian) Zhang is a statistical consultant at Stats Central, UNSW Sydney. Tony has extensive experience in the design of clinical trials and health surveys, statistical modelling, data linkage analysis, and real-world evidence, across both public and higher education sectors. Additionally, Tony has significant expertise in geriatric, respiratory, and reproductive epidemiology.
