Biography

Ho-Fung Chan is an Aotearoa Foundation Research Fellow at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland where his research is focused on combining novel lung MRI techniques and computational modelling to develop new clinical tools for paediatric lung disease management in New Zealand.

Biography

Dr Rachael Marpole is a clinician scientist. She finished Respiratory Paediatric training in 2022 and is the recipient of a Cerebral Palsy Alliance PhD scholarship. She is completing a PhD using data obtained from the feasibility randomised control trial (RESP-ACT) to reduce respiratory hospital admissions in children with cerebral palsy.

A/Prof Vanessa Murphy from the University of Newcastle is a research scientist investigating the characteristics, mechanisms and consequences of asthma exacerbations during pregnancy and their health impact on mother and baby. She is deputy chair of the Hunter Medical Research Institute's Asthma and Breathing Program and a full-time research fellow.

Dr Ramaa Puvvadi is a Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physician currently working at Women's and Children's Hospital, Adelaide. Dr Ramaa Puvvadi has completed MD and FRACP in Paediatrics. She completed her training in Respiratory Medicine from Perth along with PhD in cystic fibrosis at The University of Western Australia. Her special interest is in the area of sleep medicine and airway abnormalities. Her main objective is to deliver high standard Respiratory and Sleep services to children and improve quality of life for children and their families.
