Prof Natasha Smallwood is a consultant respiratory physician at the Alfred Hospital (Melbourne, Australia), Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Head of the Chronic Respiratory Disease Research Group at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). In addition to her respiratory qualifications, she holds postgraduate qualifications in Medical Leadership, Epidemiology and Palliative Care.
Prof Smallwood has authored over 140 publications and been awarded approximately $11 million as major research grants. She has clinical and research interests in severe lung disease, particularly chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and interstitial lung disease.
Prof Smallwood is the incoming President for the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, a Board Director for the Victorian Doctors Health Program (Australia), and holds multiple leadership roles. She is a taskforce member for various national and international respiratory guidelines. She recently worked with the Australian Commission for Safety and Quality in Healthcare to develop the first ever national clinical care standard in respiratory medicine for people with COPD.

A/Prof Johnson George is a Teaching & Research academic pharmacist at the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety, Monash University. He is renowned for expertise in carrying out interdisciplinary research focusing on chronic respiratory conditions and quality use of medicines in various settings, and translating high quality evidence from clinical trials and systematic reviews into real world clinical practice. He is a member of the COPD-X guidelines committee of the Lung Foundation Australia since 2013.

A/Prof Gonzalez-Chica is a medical doctor and senior epidemiologist with extensive experience in primary care, big data and quantitative research. Head of Primary Care Research at the University of Adelaide (Discipline of General Practice and Adelaide Rural Clinical School), leading a group of 15 epidemiologists, qualitative researchers, data analysts and Aboriginal health researchers conducting studies in primary care research.

Biography
Catherine is an advanced practice respiratory and sleep nurse and PhD Candidate at Monash University and Alfred Health. Her research interests include the use of non-invasive respiratory support therapies, exploring new models of care, understanding current services including clinical practice and patient experiences and care outcomes using mixed methods approach. Catherine holds a number of leadership positions within TSANZ.

Biography
Associate Professor Disler is an Australian Research Council Discovery DECRA Fellow from Monash University. Through her research, she leads improvement in access to care and models of care for people living with advanced chronic disease, particularly in rural settings. As Fellow of the American and ANZ Thoracic Societies, Convenor of the TSANZ Symptom Support and Palliative Care group, member of the COPDX Clinical Guideline committee, and as a Cochrane author, her work has been included in several international guidelines, including ERS, NICE UK and global GOLD strategies.
